Viking Profish GT
The Viking Profish GT is a super stable and compact fishing kayak. The 12ft hull has plenty of capacity and will suit the larger paddler wanting a shorter fishing kayak that performs well on both coastal waters and calmer inland waters. The hull is very buoyant for its size, providing confidence to the paddler to target bigger fish.
The GT features the Viking Tackle Pod - a fully removable fish finder, battery, and transducer pod combined with a large tackle storage area. This is great for loading up your gear at home so that when you get to the water you can simply put in the pod and away you go! The hinged lid of the Tackle Pod provides access to the tackle storage are and even includes a built-in wooden bait chopping board! Fish finder installation is made easy – mount the unit on top of the pod, store the cabling and power source inside and mount the transducer in the designated recess in the base of the pod. The entire pod can be removed and replaced with other Viking accessories such as the Kid-Pod and the Twin Tackle Pod.
The GT has 2 front facing and 2 rear facing flush mount rod holders, as well as adjustable foot rests and a front hatch which is large enough to take a kayak trolley. The large rear tank well provides plenty of space for additional gear storage and will take the optional Viking Profish Chill-Pod – great for keeping your catch fresh whilst on the water. With a hull weight of 27kg along with solid molded-in side handles, the GT is fairly easy to put up on top of a car and carry around off the water.
The GT comes rudder-ready with pre-installed rudder cable tubing. This makes the fitting of the optional Viking Rudder Kit quick and easy.
